WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT DURING YOUR HOME INSPECTION.
During your home inspection, the home inspector will take 2 to 4 hours (give or take) to complete a detailed walk-through of the home your looking to buy. It will be a front-to-back and top-to-bottom review of the homes structure (you want a home with good bones). The home inspection will also include its mechanical and electrical systems--including roofs, ceilings, walls and floors, windows and doors. Your home inspector will verify that the major appliances are functional, take a real close look at the heating and air conditioning systems, examine the plumbing and electrical systems and climb into the attic and down into the basement and/or crawlspace (where accessible). After your home inspection is complete, the inspector will provide you with a written report including pictures. Please check out my sample report.

Our story of how we came to be Taylor Home Inspections - Jerry W. and Cindi Taylor, are the owners of Taylor Home Inspections. With Jerry's 30+ years of home building/repairs and Cindi's 30+ years of business administrative experience it only made sense to start their own business. The home inspection business was the obvious choice after the experience of selling and buying their own homes. It was during that time they both felt the ambition to assist other home owners and prospective homeowners with this process. Buying or Selling can be a stressful time, however, having peace of mind regarding your current home or possible home's structure can make it the enjoyable life change experience that it should be. You can trust that at Taylor Home Inspections, Jerry will inspect your property as if it were his own home or potential home.
Jerry is a member of Internachi, and a Certified Professional Home Inspector as well as an FAA Certified Drone Pilot. His attention to the details in home building and structure began while helping his Dad build his first home in the 1980's. After graduating he became a member of the U.S. Air Force, where he was taught that safety and a strict disciplined attention to detail were the cornerstones to performing quality inspections. These are key factors when inspecting a home. After completing his military service, he continued to work in the construction industry where he gained vast knowledge in roofing, plumbing, heating and air, workings of electrical panels, and many other details of building structures. For 10 years prior to starting his business, Jerry was the lead Project Manager over the bonding and inspecting of aircraft parts.
