Standard of Practice We Follow in Every Home Inspection We Perform
When a real estate deal is on the line, the last thing anyone wants is surprises. That’s why experienced agents know the right home inspector doesn’t kill deals, they help close them.
At Taylor Home Inspection, my goal has always been simple: give clear, honest, and detailed information so everyone involved can move forward with confidence. Whether it’s a first-time buyer or a seasoned seller, agents appreciate working with someone who keeps the process smooth, transparent, and professional from start to finish.
A vague or confusing report can send everyone into panic mode. My inspection reports are written in plain English, not industry jargon, and laid out so agents and clients can easily see what’s minor, what’s major, and what just needs attention down the road.
Every issue is marked clearly with green check marks, red X's, red flags, or caution signs, so there’s no guessing game. When agents can quickly interpret a report, they can confidently guide their clients without unnecessary back-and-forth.
Agents tell me all the time that they appreciate how I communicate. I answer the phone. I explain findings calmly. And if something serious comes up, I help the agent understand why it matters, not just that it exists.
That kind of communication keeps the transaction moving forward instead of getting stuck in fear or confusion. I’m here to be part of the solution, not the problem.
A good home inspection should protect your client, not scare them away. Being thorough doesn’t mean dramatic. It means identifying issues honestly, explaining them clearly, and putting them in perspective.
Most homes have a few problems. That’s normal. What agents like about working with me is that I separate routine maintenance items from true red flags, so repairs can be prioritized, not overblown.
If a re-inspection is needed, I’m prompt. If agents or clients have questions afterward, they get answers. That reliability builds trust and it’s why many agents keep me on speed dial for their next listing or buyer.
At the end of the day, agents want to get their clients to the closing table with peace of mind. I share that goal.
My reports and communication are designed to educate, not alarm, and to clarify, not confuse. A well-informed client is a confident client, and confident clients close.
Whether it’s a pre-listing inspection or a buyer’s full home inspection, I’ll deliver a professional, detailed, and easy-to-read report that supports your transaction, not hinders it.
